This is where I will share my cooking and crafting experiences and experiments, along with other random things I deem worthy of sharing.
I love the process of using my hands and creativity to take basic materials or ingredients and turning them into something that makes me say “holy crap, I made this myself, I am freaking amazing!” Of course, there will be times when I look at or taste what I make and say “holy crap, what is this mess I just pulled out of my butt?” But that is part of the journey.
I’m not just posting my stuff to show off how pro I am, because I am so not a pro. If you are someone who gets discouraged often when cooking or crafting, I want to motivate you to try, try again, fist pump! Let me know if you have questions, and hopefully I can be of help. If you are already an experienced cook or crafter…high five! I hope I can give you some new ideas, or at the very least, provide some entertainment.
That said, I fully encourage you NOT to follow my recipes. Instead, look at them as guidelines. I am a big fan of substituting ingredients, improvising, and eyeballing measurements. My dishes rarely taste the same when I make them again, because I tend to use what is on hand, what is in season, or on sale. It does take practice, but follow your stomach. If it tastes good, and you’re not throwing up or crapping your guts out, then you’re doing it right.
Same goes for my craft projects. I hope my projects inspire you to create your own kick ass masterpieces.
The cooking and crafting journey never ends. I am always on a quest to improve my skills and level up. I welcome constructive criticism, tips, and ideas. But no hate please. If you want to leave a mean and nasty message just because you can…well, you know where you can shove it.
Love and Peace!
